High Sierra Iris & Wedding Gardens is a family-owned farm featuring a hillside of irises, Christmas trees, & a beautiful wedding venue. The site is owned by Mike & Nancy Visman, fifth generation farmers in the Apple Hill area of Camino, California.

THE GIFT OF A FLOWER

The idea for the iris gardens took seed when Mike gave Nancy a blooming iris as a gift for Mother’s Day. Nancy was so impressed by the grandeur of the flower that she began to collect them, and soon she had an entire hillside full of hundreds of varieties of irises. It wasn’t long before she began a commercial iris business and even hybridizes her own varieties. The garden is open to the public during the month of May. Garden group tours are also available in May by appointment.
